WINDSURFING & KITE SURFING
Lefkada is actually one of THE destinations for windsurfing and kitesurfing. Lots of people travel here for a spot of kite surfing at Ai Ioannis beach, near the town of Lefkada. Vassiliki is also a bit of a windsurfing mecca, with one of the best natural harbours for windsurfing the Mediterranean has to offer.

PARAGLIDING
For a holiday activity you will not forget, you can try paragliding. In Lefkada paragliding companies fly mainly from two locations. Kalamitsi ​Village and Kathisma beach.
BOAT HIRE
The calmer waters and the gulf between Lefkada's east coast and the mainland makes for very smooth sailing indeed! You can hire anything from a small powerboat to a yacht to explore Lefkada and its archipelago. There are several boat hire places mainly in Nidri.

BIKE TOURS / BIKE HIRE
Mountain biking tours for families or more experienced cyclists are also on offer, or alternative you can hire your own bike and get it delivered for free to our villa.

ORGANISED BOAT TOURS
Several companies offering boat tours around Lefkada are based in Nidri and Vassiliki. They are a good way of exploring the island and its stunning beaches. Some also offer daily excursions to nearby Fiskardo in Kefalonia and the island of Ithaca.

OTHER ACTIVITIES
Other popular activities available include scuba-diving, fishing charters, horse riding and mountain hiking.

AGIOS NIKITAS
Possibly the most picturesque fishing village of the island with a selection of tavernas, cafes and local shops. It also has a small beach, which is ideal for small children as its usually quite sheltered from the wind.

LEFKADA TOWN
Colourful venetian style houses and beautiful alleys to explore. Lots of shops on the main pedestrian road leading to the promenade. You will be spoilt for choice for restaurants and cafes! There is also a lovely square off the pedestrian street, surrounded by cafes and restaurants, ideal for having breakfast, lunch or dinner.
KARYA
A traditional mountain village with lots of charm and a gorgeous square in the heart of the village with tavernas and cafes. The area is shaded my some huge buttonwood trees providing essential shade during the hot summer months.

SIVOTA
A sailing destination and a beautiful calm bay to grab some lunch or coffee while gazing at the yachts.
​
VASSILIKI
A buzzing small coastal village with ferry connections to Cefalonia. Lots of tavernas and cafes by the waterfront. Also the best destination on the island for windsurfing.
